What changed
XRP-based exchange-traded funds recorded $8 million in net inflows on Thursday, while ETFs tracking Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Zcash saw net outflows.
XRP fell to about $1.30 before recovering to roughly $1.38. A prediction-market expectation that it could rise above $1.60 by October remains speculative.
Why it matters
The striking point is the split: money moved into XRP products while it moved out of several larger crypto funds. One day is not a trend, but if that gap persists, wealth managers could begin directing a different share of new capital toward XRP.
That would matter beyond the token’s price. The discussion is also about whether XRP can benefit from the expansion of tokenized finance, where traditional assets are represented as blockchain-based tokens. About $65 billion has been tokenized so far, against roughly $300 trillion in traditional capital markets, leaving a large potential gap, but not proof that adoption will arrive quickly.
Evernorth’s announced XRP exposure was raised as part of a proposed mechanism for absorbing XRP supply, though the available description is incomplete. The central distinction remains important: XRP is the digital asset; Ripple is its parent company. Treating them as interchangeable can blur what ETF flows actually show.
