What changed

Bohol Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado ordered police to swiftly identify and arrest the suspects who robbed two Chinese tourists at a popular tourist spot in Loay on Monday, Oct. 5. He directed Col. Patrici, director of the Bohol Provincial Police Office, to pursue the investigation.

Why it matters

The governor’s order puts the provincial police response in the public spotlight while the case is still developing. For now, the concrete change is investigative: officers have been explicitly tasked with finding and arresting those responsible. The suspects’ identities, the stolen property and the outcome of the probe have not been reported.
