Beyoncé has released the remastered “B’Day 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition,” adding unheard songs, Spanish recordings, bonus tracks and updated videos to mark two decades since the album’s September 4, 2006 release. This account is based on reporting by Variety.
The new material includes “Can I Watch You” featuring Pharrell, plus “Cuerpo Tumbao (Get Me Bodied)” with Maluma, Beyoncé’s first collaboration with the Colombian artist. The track samples Celia Cruz’s “La Negra Tiene Tumbao” and is credited to producers Beyoncé, Edgar Barrera and Casta, with Ali “Ali Ali” Alvarez as co-producer, according to Variety.
The edition also includes “Irreemplazable (Como La Flor),” a Spanish version of “Irreplaceable” featuring previously released vocals by Selena Quintanilla. Selena’s estate approved the duet, Variety reported.
Beyoncé also remastered the album’s songs and videos; the visuals were recolored and finished in 4K. A revamped “Déjà Vu” video featuring Jay-Z arrived alongside the release.
