What changed
Tanzanian agribusiness and digital delegations visited agribusiness, AI, data-centre and railway facilities in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region on 2 October, the second day of the EU–Tanzania roadshow.
The agribusiness delegation visited Apofruit–Almaverde, Martini Group and Unite.
Why it matters
The visits put Tanzanian officials and business representatives inside working facilities rather than keeping the roadshow at the level of formal meetings. That matters because agribusiness and digital infrastructure depend on practical systems: how food businesses operate, how AI is used, how data centres are organised and how rail facilities support wider economic activity.
But this is still an exposure and relationship-building exercise, not a confirmed transaction. No signed agreements, investment commitments, financing or implementation schedules were reported. The next meaningful step will be evidence that any of these visits turns into a defined partnership or project.
