What changed

Wave 360 Africa received government recognition at the 2026 Nairobi International Trade Fair for its creative storytelling, digital campaigns and experiential marketing. Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe praised the Nairobi- and Kampala-based company’s contribution to Kenya’s creative and digital economy.

Why it matters

The recognition puts a young Kenyan firm, founded in 2022, inside a broader shift in how institutions reach the public: through campaigns and experiences designed around local language and culture, not just traditional advertising.

That matters because Wave 360 works across government, healthcare, finance, telecommunications, agriculture and other sectors. Its work can shape how public-health messages, commercial products and institutional programmes are understood by the people they are meant to reach.

The company’s regional direction is already visible. It announced entry into Uganda in April 2025, after building a portfolio that includes youth programmes, digital storytelling, large brand activations and public campaigns. Last year, its trade-fair activation for Pepsi also won a trophy after President William Ruto visited the stand.

The recognition is best read as a signal of credibility, not proof of commercial success. Whether it leads to more contracts, jobs or revenue remains unclear. For now, the stronger point is that local creative knowledge is being treated as part of Kenya’s economic infrastructure, not decoration around it.
