What changed

Zambia is putting golf at the front door of a new investment summit. The Zambia Golf & Investment Summit 2026, scheduled for October 14–20, will bring East African companies together with Zambian businesses and institutions for B2B meetings, executive roundtables and investor engagements.

The summit is jointly organized by Stejos Tours & Travel, Dahlia Safaris and Zambia’s Trekking Tours. Its agenda covers agriculture, mining, energy, technology, real estate, healthcare and tourism, with the main business gathering planned at Bonanza Golf Resort under the theme “Driving Business Through Sport.”

Why it matters

The interesting move is not simply adding golf to a conference schedule. Organizers are treating the course, the resort and the wider travel itinerary as part of the business machinery: places where executives can build relationships before sitting down to discuss market entry, policy and cross-border trade.

The week also turns Zambia’s geography into part of the pitch. Delegates are due to move from Lusaka and Chaminuka Estate to Livingstone, Victoria Falls and Livingstone Royal Golf Club, then through the Kazungula corridor into Botswana’s Chobe National Park. A Zambezi River sunset cruise is expected to close the program.

That makes the summit a commercial proposition wrapped in a regional journey. Zambia is being presented not only as a market for investment, but as a link into a broader tourism and business route connecting Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

The test will come after the tee times and river cruise: whether the scheduled meetings produce identifiable partnerships, projects or investment commitments. No participating companies, signed deals, investment amounts or government commitments have been confirmed.
