Anthony Page, the British stage and film director who earned a Tony Award for his 1997 Broadway staging of A Doll’s House, died on September 11, 2026 at a London residential care home; he was 90.

Page’s career spanned theatre, television and cinema. He received two Emmy nominations in the mid‑1970s for the TV movies Pueblo (1973), a dramatization of the capture of an American spy ship in North Korea, and The Missiles Of October (1975), a drama about the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. The broadcasts earned several Emmy Awards.
In film, he directed the 1977 Oscar‑nominated feature I Never Promised You A Rose Garden, in which Kathleen Quinlan portrayed a woman battling schizophrenia.
