Bradley Whitford on Bringing Back ‘The West Wing’ as a ‘Limited Series’

Variety

Bradley Whitford says he plans to press Aaron Sorkin about reviving The West Wing as a limited series.

“I’ll work him, I’ll work him,” Whitford said of persuading the show’s creator to write new episodes. He made the comments Sept. 30 at the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where Martin Sheen, Dulé Hill, Mary McCormack and Josh Malina joined him. (Variety)

Hill said the cast would return if Sorkin writes a new season: “If he writes it, then I will come. I think if he writes it, then we all will be there.”

No revival has been announced, and Sorkin has not committed to writing new episodes. There is also no confirmed network, streamer, production schedule, format or cast deal.

The West Wing premiered on NBC in 1999 and ran for seven seasons before ending in 2006. The series received 27 Emmy Awards from 95 nominations.
