The reported $111 billion deal would bring together Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, creating a proposed entity currently described as “Paramount Skydance Warner Bros. Discovery.” No final name has been confirmed, and the report also notes that it remains uncertain whether the merger will close.

The naming challenge reflects a long-running tension in Hollywood consolidation: bigger companies may offer greater scale, but their corporate identities can become unwieldy. The report compares the proposed name with the deliberately elaborate title once used by the Marx Brothers’ production company, International Amalgamated Consolidated Affiliated World Wide Film Productions Company Incorporated, of North Dakota.
