Julianne Moore will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Rome Film Festival, with Jesse Eisenberg presenting the honor at the Italian premiere of his new film, The Debut.
The award was announced by Salvatore Nastasi, president of Fondazione Cinema per Roma. Moore will attend the festival, which runs from Oct. 13 to 25, 2026.
The Debut marks Moore’s second collaboration with Eisenberg, following his 2022 directorial debut, When You Finish Saving the World. In the new film, Moore plays Mona Friedman, a shy housewife who becomes intensely committed to a small community theater role.
Moore won the Academy Award for Still Alice. She also received the Zurich Film Festival’s Golden Icon Award in September as The Debut began its international festival run.
