Mediawan Says U.S. Buyers Are Returning to Co-Productions

Mediawan says U.S. buyers are returning to co-productions after a prolonged slowdown in the market.

Elisabeth D’Arvieu, Mediawan’s global content officer and CEO of Mediawan Pictures, said the U.S. co-production market had been “almost closed” for the past two or three years. She did not identify specific buyers, projects, deal terms or a measured scale for the reported reopening.

The French studio is associated with series including Slow Horses and Call My Agent!. D’Arvieu’s comments describe Mediawan’s assessment of changing market conditions, rather than independently quantified evidence of a broader recovery.
