Netflix Expands Global Streaming of Lee Chang-dong Films After Venice Win

Netflix is expanding its worldwide streaming lineup of Lee Chang-dong’s films after the director’s Possible Love won the Silver Lion, Grand Jury Prize, at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on September 12, according to Deadline.

Lee’s Green Fish and Secret Sunshine have streamed since August in Italy, the U.K., France, Australia and New Zealand. Peppermint Candy and Oasis began streaming in Italy and Spain on September 4.

Poetry and Burning are planned for release in markets including Japan, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Availability and timing will vary by country, with subtitles offered in up to six languages, including Korean, depending on the market.
