Sia Sells 50% of Music Catalog to Pophouse in $180 Million Partnership Deal

Variety

Pophouse Entertainment has acquired a 50% stake in the publishing and master rights to Sia’s music catalog in a reported $180 million partnership deal.

The Sweden-based entertainment and music investment firm, co-founded by ABBA’s Bjorn Ulvaeus, said it will help Sia develop new creative ventures while continuing to steward her work.

The reported terms include $165 million for songs Sia wrote before her marriage to Dan Bernad, including “Chandelier,” “Titanium” and “Cheap Thrills.” A further $15 million tied to songs written during the marriage is reportedly being held in escrow while the former couple reaches an agreement. Sia filed for divorce in March 2025 after less than three years of marriage.

The deal covers a catalog that includes “Unstoppable,” “Elastic Heart” and LSD’s “Thunderclouds.” Sia has also co-written Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and Beyoncé’s “Pretty Hurts.”

Sia said the partnership could give the songs “new and different ways” to reach audiences. Pophouse CEO Jessica Koravos said the company intends to preserve and expand the catalog while supporting Sia’s artistic ambitions.

The investment comes through Pophouse Fund I, which closed in March 2025 at a €1 billion hard cap. More than €200 million was also secured through co-investment vehicles, bringing the reported total fundraising above €1.2 billion.
