Mike Wald will retire from Sony Pictures Television at the end of 2026 after 32 years with the company. Sony Pictures TV chairman Keith Le Goy announced the change alongside a new leadership structure for the studio’s distribution and networks division.
Jason Spivak and Paul Littmann have been named presidents of distribution and networks, reporting to Le Goy. Spivak was previously co-president of distribution and networks, while Littmann most recently served as executive vice president of global distribution.
Mark Young, who oversees Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will add Latin America and Asia-Pacific to his responsibilities as head of international. Monica Veiga will lead North American distribution following Flory Bramnick’s departure after 24 years with Sony.
Wald held roles across the United States, Asia and Europe during his Sony career. He helped launch AXN Asia and SET India, later leading distribution across Europe, the Middle East and Africa before taking on broader global responsibilities.
The studio also plans to hire a leader for its YouTube and digital-platforms business. Sony said the expanded focus will include YouTube, FAST channels, digital platforms and other performance-based distribution models. The company has not yet identified the new leader or quantified any expected investment or revenue changes.
