Ubisoft is adopting Massive Entertainment as the name of its Creative House 2 studio group, effective Sept. 30, 2026, with Christoph Hartmann leading the organization.
Development teams in Montréal, Paris, Sweden and Toronto will operate under the existing Massive Entertainment brand. The group oversees franchises including Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell, as well as March of Giants, an original multiplayer online battle arena game acquired from Amazon Games.
Massive Entertainment has been part of Ubisoft since 2008. Ubisoft will continue publishing and distributing games developed under the label and says ongoing commitments to players and partners will not change.
The rebrand does not establish whether staffing, budgets, schedules or game strategies will change. It comes as Ubisoft restructures around creative-house groups and targets €200 million in additional cost reductions during 2026. Its first such group, Vantage Studios, includes Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six.
