Woody Allen’s next feature is set to begin shooting in Madrid on Oct. 5, with Marton Csokas, Jemima Kirke, Jakob Oftebro, Peter Vives and Alexi Wasser joining the cast.
Allen will write and direct the contemporary comedy, which will be filmed in English in Madrid and the surrounding region. Wanda Vision, Gravier Productions and 3SIX9 Studios are producing.
The project marks Allen’s third production filmed in Spain, following Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) and Rifkin’s Festival (2020). José Luis Alcaine, Sonia Grande and Alain Bainée are attached to the creative team.
WestEnd Films has boarded world sales and plans to present the film to international buyers at the upcoming American Film Market. The company previously handled international sales for Allen’s Coup de Chance and represents 25 of his titles, including Midnight in Paris, Match Point and Blue Jasmine.
The film’s title, release date, distributor commitments and expected market performance have not been reported.
