What changed
The Kiwibit Bird Feeder 2 Pro attracted dozens of small, colorful birds within a few weeks of being mounted in a garden. The $269 device, reduced from $350, then sent AI-generated alerts to a phone identifying Great Tits and Eurasian Blue Tits.
Why it matters
The appeal is easy to understand: a bird feeder that turns a garden visit into an instant notification. It lowers the barrier to noticing what is happening outside, and makes wildlife watching feel a little more like using a smart-home device.
But the useful question is whether the AI adds dependable insight or just cheerful guesses. The early experience sounds promising, yet the accuracy of the identifications has not been established. For now, the feeder is best understood as an engaging gadget with an unproven recognition system, not a substitute for knowing which bird just landed.
