What changed
Marvin Mvondo has launched SplashArk in Cameroon on 7 October 2026. The app combines artist bookings, live shows, sales and payments in one entertainment-focused platform for artists and event organisers.
Mvondo previously ran Blu Nation and worked on concerts, festivals and projects involving artists including Rema, Davido and Mr P. SplashArk turns that industry experience into a software product.
Why it matters
SplashArk is trying to make one app useful across the messy middle of putting on a show. Booking an artist is only the starting point; organisers also need to manage sales and payments while the event is happening.
That sounds practical, but it is not automatically compelling. Social media already promotes shows, ticketing services handle admission, payment services process purchases and bookings can happen directly between artists, agents and promoters.
So SplashArk’s real test is whether combining those jobs saves enough time or makes enough money to change established habits. The outlook is uncertain because there is no confirmed information yet about funding, user numbers, event inventory, payment coverage, fees or measurable customer results. Its strongest early advantage is narrower: Mvondo is building for an entertainment business he already knows.
