What changed

Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Tech Revolution Africa are targeting ₦3 billion in investment and pilot contracts through the 2026 DNICE Builders Festival.

The festival is intended to connect technology startups with investors and organisations that can give them pilot opportunities. The money and contracts are targets, not yet confirmed commitments.

Why it matters

That distinction is the whole story. A ₦3 billion pipeline could give participating startups something more valuable than another round of applause: a path from prototype to a real-world trial, and potentially from a trial to revenue.

For NITDA and Tech Revolution Africa, the test will be whether the festival turns introductions into decisions. The useful evidence will be signed contracts, disclosed investment, clear selection criteria and delivery timelines. Until those appear, the festival offers a promising route to deals, but not deals themselves.
