Netflix has canceled Ransom Canyon after two seasons, according to reporting by The Hollywood Reporter. The decision comes months after the eight-episode second season premiered on July 23.
Created by April Blair, the Texas romantic drama starred Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly. It followed three ranching dynasties fighting over land, family legacies and relationships in a small Texas town. Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Marianly Tejada, Jack Schumacher, Casey W. Johnson, Philip Winchester and Justin Johnson Cortez also appeared.
The report does not give a reason for the cancellation or indicate whether another platform is considering a continuation.

The decision ends a returning production that employed more than 700 New Mexico residents during season two filming in 2025, including 380 crew members, 40 principal actors and 300 background actors, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
